R.F. Knox Company was originally founded in 1914 under the name of Knox & Meier Company, and was located at 207 Marietta Street , Atlanta, GA. Its principle business was repairing roofs and making such items as grate fronts, stove pipe and other small sheet metal items.

Along with R.F. Knox and J.J. Meier, there were six other mechanics and helpers. The business stayed in this location until 1924 at which time it was moved to 575 Marietta Street, Atlanta, GA. During this same time period, J.J. Meier dropped out as a partner and the name was changed to R.F. Knox Company and, in 1936, was incorporated.

We have been able to show progress through the years and have grown to be one of the largest metal shops in the Southeast with more than one hundred employees. We have been extremely fortunate in having many loyal employees and we attribute much of our success to their efforts.
